Did you notice last week's Tchibo ads, the ones titled "Die Kraft aus deiner Mitte"? I know, language merging has been going on for quite some time, but I just couldn't bear THAT hotchpotch. They offered something called "Yoga-Pant", which, correct me if I'm wrong, could be two things: a) extremely exhausting yoga, so you make loud noises while exhaling, b) you only get one leg of the trousers. In addition, Tchibo has found another dimension of panting. It costs 16,99 and it's called "Relaxpant". Is this panting after ...? Oh well! Then they offered stuff like "Sweatjacke" and "Sweathose". Who wants to wear this? But we Germans pronounce it "Sweetjacke" and "Sweethose" anyway, so who cares?
Finally, there was a description for a "Jersey-Shirt" that went: "Softe Baumwollqualität im Lagenlook. Mit Lotus-Print und Stickerei." I am not a language Nazi - all I'm saying is: THIS mishmashing of languages sounds terrible to both German and English ears, or doesn't it?

Tja Christina, so ist das nun mal mit den Sprachen. Mit geht es ähnlich!
Nach einem busy Tag, an dem mein Big Boss mich richtig ausgepowert hat und ich mal dringend chillen muss, werfe ich mir einfach `nen coolen Sweater über, nachdem ich darunter auf ein ärmelloses T-Shirt (wo ist dann eigentlich das T?) umgeswitcht habe. Dann geht´s zum Joggen oder Walken. Nach Körperpflege und ausreichend Bodymilk, Aftershave und ausgiebig Hairstylegel treff ich mich dann mit Mike (eigentlich Michael) und Joe (eigentlich Joachim) zur Afterworkparty in Ossy`s Lounge. Die erzählen mir, dass mein Job outgesourced wird und wundern sich, dass ich nicht up-to-date bin. Nach den blöden News gehe ich in mein Appartement, zappe durch die TV-Shows, gehe ins Bett - und denke vor dem einschlafen genervt: "Fu...!"

Yes, stalina, it does. Extreme mixing of English and Deutsch is called "Denglisch" or "Denglish".
